Fingerprints Permanent Resident Application

Heading Fingerprints For Controlled Goods Program, Employment in Private Industry, Employment In Provincial Government

FBI Fingerprint Card FD258 & FD 1164 Identity History Summary
Ink and Roll FBI Fingerprinting Card, FD 258 or FD 1164 are required by Individuals who have lived in United States of America. If you are currently living in Canada and are looking for Identity History Summary Request or FBI Police Clearance or FBI Police Certificate for immigration to Canada, permanent resident Application for Canada, Canadian Citizenship, or Employment, then you are required to mail fingerprint card FD 258 or FD 1164 to FBI. Both cards are used for Identity History Summary Request.
Fingerprinting for Visa, Border Crossing, Travel, Work Abroad, US Waiver I-192
Are you applying for US Waiver I192 or If you have plan to travel abroad, work, or applying for visa or border crossing, certain countries do need Certified Criminal background check report issued by RCMP based on fingerprints submission. In such a case, you should contact our office. What you need to bring – Two pieces of original Valid IDs. Check List of IDs acceptable.

Fingerprints for RCMP National Repository Entire Holdings
Fingerprints submitted under Privacy Act allows the applicant to have criminal background check report issued by RCMP National Repository of Entire Holdings (criminal records) for civil purposes. This report does not include your picture and fingerprints. The RCMP report is mailed directly to the individual applicant and not to the third party.
Such applicants who are in Canada and applying for Immigration to USA (applying for Green Card) needs to obtain RCMP’s National Repository of Entire Holdings (criminal records) under Privacy Act based on fingerprints submission.

Once your fingerprints are submitted electronically to RCMP, you will be provided a confirmation including the details of the fingerprinting agency, purpose for fingerprints, your name, date of birth, date of fingerprints taken, gender, address, and DCN number.
If you want to follow up on the progress, you may email RCMP. In certain cases, if the delay is more than expected, you may send an email to RCMP at [email protected]
Your email to the RCMP should include the following information:
Your full Name, Date of Birth, Date of fingerprints sent, and DCN number.

- As per the instructions of IRCC, we will include the “contributor Individual Reference number” which is your citizenship application number in the fingerprint form.
- RCMP Submission: Your fingerprints are securely sent electronically to the RCMP for processing.

- Direct to You: The RCMP sends you the results of the fingerprint for Canadian citizenship, and you then send the findings to the IRCC address in the letter.
- Direct to IRCC: With your consent, we will advise the RCMP to automatically send the RCMP fingerprint for citizenship results to the IRCC address.
